Next Stop: Hong Kong via Cathay Pacific Airlines

I'm always bubbling with excitement when I know that Hong Kong is my next destination. I look forward to the food, the shopping, and the city itself. To make things better, I knew that we would be taking Cathay Pacific. I always assumed that Cathay Pacific was one of the better airlines in terms of online entertainment, comfortable seats, and on board meals. I was right about the first two but wrong about the latter part.

Our on board meal (Economy class)

The flight attendant did not even give us a choice for our meal like the usual "Chicken or fish?" or "Beef or fish?" She basically just gave each of the passengers a tray and said "Here's your adobo roll." But in fairness, the adobo roll was pretty good and they did not scrimp on the filling. I guess even the bad economy is also affecting the big airline companies.

But despite the  small meal, I still like taking Cathay Airlines as opposed to Philippine Airlines or Cebu Pacific because of all the in flight entertainment. We each had our own entertainment system and there were loads of movies, TV shows, and documentaries to choose from. It was just a short flight so I watched the first episode of Season 4 of True Blood.

But the best thing with Cathay Airlines: Each seat had an electrical outlet! Yippee! We can charge our iPhones! =)
