Boracay Mandarin

We stayed at Boracay Mandarin last May of 2008. It's located in Station 2...between D Mall and Boracay Regency but closer to Regency. Location wise, it's great! It's close to everything and it's fronting the beach. But for the price we paid, I think there were better options. The hotel was clean and service was okay. But....there was this weird stench coming from the bathroom drain and we could hear the music coming from the bar located in the front of the hotel. I normally wouldn't mind the music since it is Boracay, after all, and we know that it is a "gimmick and party destination." But with kids, that's a totally different story. Anyway, don't get me wrong....we absolutely enjoyed our stay in Boracay Mandarin but would I stay here again? Probably not if the kids were with me...I think I'll try one of the hotels in Station 1 =)

When we entered our room, our bed was made up and the towels were arranged in the shape of a heart. My kids absolutely loved it! It definitely left an impression.

As I stepped out into our balcony, this was the view that greeted us. Nice!

These are some of the pictures taken from the beach front of the hotel.

Discovery Shores Boracay

No, we did not stay in Discovery Shores but we did have a look see and I would have loved to stay here. The facilities are first class and the beach front of the hotel was sparkling clean. I also noticed that service was one of their priorities and all the guests there seemed to be completely happy and satisfied. Now, why didn't we stay there? At $300/night, we weren't sure if it was worth it but for those who have the budget and need complete and utter relaxation, I would definitely recommend it =)
